Our story
Two generations at the bench
A small family workshop in Bentham, making furniture the way it should be made.
Where it started
Kevin Watt set up the workshop in the 1980s, making kitchens and furniture for families around Bentham. Word spread the old-fashioned way – one happy customer telling another – and the business grew on a reputation for solid, honest work at a fair price.
Where we are now
Today the workshop is run by Kevin's son, Sam, who grew up among the sawdust and learned the trade alongside his dad. Sam has kept the same values – everything made by hand, built to last and good value – while bringing a fresh eye for design to every project.
Our workshop
We work out of our workshop in Bentham, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and close to the Forest of Bowland. It's a beautiful part of the world, and that landscape – the stone, the timber, the light – finds its way into what we make.
We still love working locally, and these days we also make kitchens, bedrooms and furniture for homes across Lancaster, Kendal, Skipton and the Lake District.
